Introduction: Scripture Union in KwaZulu Natal (SU KZN) is embarking on a pivotal journey towards greater impact and sustainability. Our new short-term funding initiative, "Rands for Reach", is an invitation to you – our SU family, past and present – to be a part of this exciting and crucial phase in our journey.

 

The Need: Many youth organizations in South Africa, including ours, face the challenge of dependency on grant funding, which often comes with strings attached, diverting us from our core vision and values. We at SU KZN are committed to staying true to our mission. To do this, we need your support to strengthen our organizational capacity – the 'petrol in our bus'.

 

Our Approach:

1. Empowering People: Training and deploying Mission Partners in schools across KZN. We've seen remarkable success, with 45 mission partners actively engaging in 30 schools in under a year, significantly expanding our reach.

2. Strengthening Systems: Your contributions will support critical operational needs, including digital resources, CRM hosting, marketing, event hosting, and staff contracting.

3. Sustaining Impact: Developing long-term sustainability strategies to ensure the continued success and growth of our mission.

 

Your Role: A monthly contribution starting from R100 can make a significant difference. This steady stream of support allows us to focus on long-term goals, including our 2030 vision of financial stability and strong organizational capacity.
